Ty Felin
Ty Felin is an independent residential children’s care home, part of the QEwC Ltd Group, dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people. Our Care Home Service Manager, Guy Bingham, brings over 14 years of experience in residential childcare, while our Responsible Individual, Natalie Fletcher, has been working in the sector since 1999.
About us
We provide residential placements for up to five young people, aged 8 to 18, who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and may face emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), social, emotional, and mental health challenges (SEMH), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), mental health problems, or who are on the Autistic spectrum.
At Ty Felin, our mission is to create an effective, supportive, and therapeutically informed home, where young people can feel safe, valued, and empowered to grow. Our ethos is focused on helping young people manage challenges from their past, while preparing them for a positive and independent future. We strongly believe that every young person deserves the highest standard of care and support.
Our approach puts young people at the centre of decision-making, encouraging them to take part in shaping their care, understanding risks, and making choices that help prepare them for life beyond Ty Felin, whether it’s transitioning back to family life or moving into independent living.
Our Home and Location
Ty Felin is a large, detached, two-storey property set on a spacious, landscaped corner plot in the town of Buckley, Flintshire. We are conveniently located just three miles from Mold, ten miles from Chester, and fifteen miles from Wrexham. Buckley offers a wide range of shops and amenities, including a train station with excellent links to Chester and Wrexham.
The home is well-positioned near bus routes to local colleges and major towns, with nearby medical centres, primary and secondary schools, a sports centre, and a swimming pool. The area also boasts supermarkets, independent shops, and recreational clubs, providing a supportive and connected community for our young people.
