About us

Our Home and Location

Bryn Tirion Hall is a large detached property set in a rural location on the outskirts of the village of Caergwrle, in North Wales. It has a large garden which includes outdoor play equipment and an area to play ball games. Both Wrexham and Mold are within 6 miles of the home offering easy access to activities and shopping areas.

The house is split into 4 homes with each of them offering lounge, kitchen, dining areas and individual ensuite-bedrooms. The young people have the opportunity to be involved with the decoration within their rooms and are encouraged to personalise them with pictures, posters and a choice of colour. There is also a games room with space for boardgames, console gaming, parties and relaxing.

Elizabeth Williams

Elizabeth Williams

Deputy Manager

I have been passionate about residential care since 2006. I started my career in a small, three-bedded long-term placement, where I spent nearly five years supporting young people and building strong, trusting relationships. I then moved to a crisis intervention centre, working with young people mainly from inner-city areas who were stepping down from secure units or presenting high-risk behaviours. That role was incredibly rewarding, and I feel privileged to have supported so many amazing young people through challenging times.

Since May 2016, I have been part of QEWC family . I began as an RCP at BTH, moved to TYF and  in January 2018, and was promoted to Assistant Manager at BTH. I truly love this role—it allows me to work closely with both the young people and a fantastic care team, and it’s a genuine pleasure to come to work every day.

Throughout my career, I have completed Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications in Children and Young People, along with a Level 3 ILM course. I am committed to continual professional development, regularly updating my training to stay current with best practices and ensure the highest standard of care for the young people I support.

Anna Sullivan

Anna Sullivan

Deputy Manager

Before joining QEWC, I worked for several years in early years settings, supporting children in nurseries and schools. From the start, I’ve been drawn to roles where I can help young people grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and reach their potential.

I have been with QEWC for 13 years, almost 11 of which have been at Bryn Tirion, working as a Residential Care Practitioner and deputy team leader before moving into my current role as Assistant Manager. I enjoy creating a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment where young people feel secure, valued, and listened to.

What I love most is seeing young people believe in themselves, often after challenges, and knowing I’ve played a part in their progress. I’m proud to be part of the QEWC family, working alongside a team committed to high-quality care and education in a supportive environment.

Rob Newcombe

Rob Newcombe

Deputy Manager

I joined QEwC in June 2013 after a long and rewarding career in both the Army and the Prison Service. Although I had limited experience of the care system at the time, I brought with me a wide range of transferable skills that have proven invaluable in my work.

Starting as a Residential Support Worker, I quickly discovered how rewarding and fulfilling the role was. My passion for helping young people grow and achieve their potential led me to take on more responsibility as a Key Worker and then a Deputy Team Leader. In April 2016, I was proud to step into the role of Assistant Manager—a position I continue to find both challenging and deeply rewarding.

Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to developing my knowledge and skills. I’ve gained several qualifications along the way, including:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) – Advanced Practice
  • Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) – Residential Management

Even after more than a decade in the sector, I still find great satisfaction in supporting young people and working alongside a dedicated team that shares the same passion for making a difference
